An unforgettable event that is sure to create life-long memories for you and your family, the Cowboy Campout is a long awaited event at the Ranch. Every Memorial Day weekend, members and their family and friends celebrate a kick-off to summer with a night on the golf course. This isn't any ordinary camp out though. With more adventures than you could possibly think of, including archery, zip lining, bull riding, hay rides, fishing, laser lag, picnic games and even a good 'ol Texas BBQ- this is more than just your typical camping adventure. Guest Fee Payment
Event entrance charges will be directly charged to your member account, including guests. There will be a cash and member charge bar available at the camp site.
Tent Site Assignment
Old Ranch will send out your tent assignment about 1 week in advance. Please let us know who you would like to camp next to in advance so that we can accommodate your party. Tent sites will be assigned in 10ft x 10ft spaces.
Old Ranch will provide large bags for your belongings and bag tags with your camp site number so Old Ranch staff can easily transport your belongings to the correct camp site location. This will ensure a smooth arrival. Bags and bag tags must be picked up at the Front Desk Tuesday, May 23 - Saturday, May 27.
So you may enjoy more of the Camp Out, you may start setting up your tent sites as early as 2:00pm. Activities start at 3:30pm. Drop off is located at the end of the parking lot near the Golf Bag Drop area. There will be signs directing you where to drop off your items. For example, if your tent assignment is #23, then you will drop off your bags in the parking stall labeled #23. Hay rides will be given at the putting green to take you to the camp out.
All activities will be open at 3:30pm and will end between 7pm and 8pm. S'mores and campfire songs by the camp fire will begin at dark.
A safe camping experience is our ultimate priority. Please maintain responsibility for the safety of your children at all times. Children under the age of 5 must wear a wristband, provided by Old Ranch, with their tent assignment and their last name.
As a reminder, there will be a full bar available to purchase alcoholic beverages, which can be either charged to your member account or paid for with cash only. All sodas, juice and water are complimentary. You are permitted to bring 2 bottles of wine per family with no corkage fee. Don't forget to bring a wine opener. Coolers, ice chests and other alcoholic beverages are not allowed.
· Children must be accompanied by an adult who is paying close attention to the dangers posed by fish hooks.
· Fishing hours are between 3:30pm and 7pm.
· Children may not play in or enter the water at any time.
· Children must stay in their individually marked fishing areas to avoid equipment contact with others.
· No overhead casting to avoid hooking others.
· Fish hooks and fish fin bones pose safety hazards so Old Ranch staff will assist with baiting hooks, hook removal, and handling fish.
· All fish must be released.
· If demand warrants, children may be asked to give up their fishing area for others who haven't participated.
· Shoes must be worn at all times.
The dinner buffet opens about 5pm and tables are open seating.
Breakfast begins at 6am the following morning (overnight campers only).
To make room for our golfers, we need to clear the golf course by 9am. To make for an easy departure, Old Ranch staff will deliver your belongings back to the drop off area. Please leave your bag tags on your gear from the night before to make your belongings easy to identify.

Q: How do I make a reservation for my family & friends?
A: Please call 562.596.4425 to make your reservation. Reservations will not be made online due to the nature of this event.
Q: I'd like my tent site to be made next to another member or group of members? How can I be near my friends?
A: When making your reservation, you can request to be near certain members, and we will do our best to accommodate.
Q: I am inviting non-members as guests. Can they pay the club directly for their admission to this event?
A: We will not be accepting non-member payment for this event. Event entrance fees will be charged directly to your member account.
Q: What is the cost of this event?
A: The Camp Out is $75 per adult, guest, and child, and $60 per non-camper. Children ages 3 and under are free. These prices are inclusive of tax and service charge.
Q: I do not have a tent? Can I rent one from the club?
A: Yes, but we have a very limited amount of tents available, so make sure to reserve your tent early. 4-person tent setup and removal is $60, and 6-person tent setup and removal is $85.
Q: How large are the tent sites?
A: The tent sites are approximately 10ft x 10ft. They typically fit the standard size 6-person tent. If you have an oversized tent, please let us know, and you will be assigned a specific area.
Q: What should I bring to this event?
A: Some items to consider bringing (campers or non-campers) are beach chairs, blankets, flashlights, batteries, Frisbee's, balls etc, and a wine opener (2 bottles allowed per membership with no corkage fee). For campers, make sure to bring your tent, sleeping bag, pillows, and anything else you'd like for an overnight stay under the stars.
